Sad news have recently reached the climbing community. From 15th Sept. 2016 Ryanair has indefinitely suspended all flights to Kos. That of course makes direct flight to Kos far more complicated that it used to be.

The case is not lost, however, and there are still other ways to get to Kalymnos (see our “Getting Here” section). But as this used to be the most convenient mean of travel for many of us, Ryanair decision is surely a blow.

Some say that it was because “the migrants” situation, others say it was the lack of agreement with Kos airport authorities over operation fees. But migrants crisis seems to be over and rumour has it that the negotiations with the Kos airport are pending, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for Ryanair flights to be resumed very soon!
